More About Our Company
Founded in 2007, the Kayak Shack continues to evolve as the premier spot on the Adirondack Coast for kayak, canoe, and standup paddleboard rentals, gear, knowledge, and instruction. Located at 3999 Rt 9, Plattsburgh, NY 12901, directly West of Valcour Island on Lake Champlain (with a great view of the lighthouse out our front door), the Kayak Shack is open seasonally, from sometime in March till late September each year, and we are always available other times of the year with a simple email or phone call. We do tend to “disappear” during the winter months as we seek out warmer climates to get our paddling in. We carry many different brands and styles of boats from brands such as P&H, Venture and FeelFree, Perception, Wilderness Systems, Hurricane Kayaks, and Boreal Designs. Paddles by Werner, accessories by Kokatat, Thule, Malone, and many others.
